Dixie is a well broke but gently used mare. She is up to date on fall shots (flu/rhino), recently had her teeth floated and is current on worming/feet trimming. Dixie originated in Oklahoma and spent time down south as a cow pony working cattle; most recently she has been a trail riding horse and has been introduced to an english saddle and even over some low fences. Dixie is a game little horse, good ground manners, easy to catch, lives well with other horses, is very healthy and very sound. She has good feet and lives inside a box stall or outside well. This is a really cute mare with a lovely head. If you are looking for an older horse that still has sound gaits, some motor left and yet has experience Dixie might be perfect for you. Dixie is EXCELLENT down roads; good around strange dogs and vehicles of all kinds including tractors and harvestors. We have had amateur riders of all ages/sizes on her - some with minimal experience. She is not for a very beginner but will do well with anyone that has had a little time in the saddle.
